The Altrusa Club is once again serving up lunch and dinner — all on a silver platter. Slated for Oct. 30 at the Phoenix Expo Center, the Taste of Fort Smith celebrates its 25th anniversary of offering the area’s finest food and beverage sampling from as many as 50 vendors, all while raising funds for local charities, including several which are literacy focused. There will be two sessions at the Taste of Fort Smith. The first is at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for lunch and second is 5-7 p.m. for dinner. Their 25th Anniversary Cookbooks will be available for $10. Recipients are Literacy Council of Western Arkansas, Crawford County Volunteers for Literacy, Fort Smith Public Library, Community Services Clearinghouse, Inc. Community Rescue Mission and Fort Smith Children's Service League, Inc. Tickets may be purchased at any Simmons Bank location in Fort Smith or at the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce.
